The region is home to ‘Kodava’ people, a warrior community, known for their unique customs & legendary hospitality and its headquarters lie in the sleepy town of Madikeri. Madikeri Fort

This 17th century fort, originally built in mud but later fortified in granite by Tipu Sultan, is known for its secret passageways, an old church and incredible sunset views.
Abbey Falls

Cascading from a height of 70m amidst coffee & spice plantations; Abbey Falls offer a perfect backdrop for a romantic photo-shoot.

Raja’s Seat

Translating literally into “King’s Seat”, this spot overlooking rolling hills & deep valleys is believed to be the desired view point of the Kodagu royalty. With its charming gardens, musical fountains and picturesque landscapes; Raja’s seat is still is a choice spot for watching sunrise & sunsets.

Namdroling Monastery

A large Buddhist complex, home to around 5000 monks & nuns, Namdroling Monastery is a slice of Buddhism in South India. Its gorgeous Golden Temple, presided by three 18m high Buddha statues, is quite striking.

Omkareshwara Temple

Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple is a beautiful blend of Indian, Islamic and Gothic architectural elements. Check out its beautiful dome, and slender minarets and feed the fish in the large temple tank.

Nagarhole National Park

Nagarhole, literally translating into “Snake River”, takes its name from the Manas River charting a serpentine course through the park. Tigers, jungle bison, sloth bears, and Asiatic elephants, are the big game found here.

Coorg’s ambient climate makes it a year-round destination, but months from October to April are best for adventure activities and also a great time to watch white coffee blooms spreading their blanket over the valley.
